AP smugglers encounter: NHRC steps in, protests erupt in Chennai

Chennai, Apr 8 (IBNS): Amid huge protests over the killings of 20 wood smugglers by the Andhra Pradesh Police on Tuesday, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday issued notice to the Chief Secretary and the DGP of the state calling for report explaining the act of police and forest officials within two weeks.
