EC bans Sadhvi Pragya for 72 hours for remarks on her curse to Hemant Karkare

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI/IBNS) The Election commission on Wednesday banned BJP Bhopal candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur from campaigning for 72 hours for her remarks regarding her curse to former ATS chief Hemant Karkare.

Bhopal, Apr 20 (UNI) The District Returning Officer issued a notice on Saturday to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bhopal parliamentary constituency candidate Pragya Singh Thakur vis-a-vis her statement regarding Ashoka Chakra-recipient 1982-batch Indian Police Service officer and Anti-Terrorism Squad chief Hemant Karkare who attained martyrdom after being shot thrice in the chest while combating perpetrators of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
