Assam hooch tragedy: State government bans molasses, will look after kids who lost parents

Guwahati, Mar 4 (IBNS): Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal has ordered a ban on molasses in the state that has lately witnessed around 150 deaths due to consumption of spurious liquor.

Guwahati, Feb 25 (UNI/IBNS) The death toll in Assam hooch tragedy has reached 155, with nearly 100 deaths reported from worst-hit Golaghat district, with the toll on the rise for the fifth day today since the first deaths were reported.
