Income Tax Dept issues 10.2 lakh refunds worth Rs 4,250 crores in one week

New Delhi/IBNS: The Income Tax department has released 10.2 lakh refunds worth Rs 4,250 crores in a week's time, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said on Wednesday.

New Delhi, Jan 7 (IBNS): The provisional figures of Direct Tax collections up to December, 2018 show that gross collections are at Rs. 8.74 lakh crore which is 14.1% higher than the gross collections for the corresponding period of last year, official data released on Monday said.
