New Delhi, July 23 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the countrymen in wishing Indian women team for the final match of the Women World Cup against hosts England on Sunday.

India women are currently playing against England in the historic final at the iconic Lord's cricket ground.

Modi wished the team in a series of tweets where he greeted all the cricketers individually and appreciated their talents.

"As our women's cricket team plays the World Cup finals today, I join the 125 crore Indians in wishing them the very best! @BCCIWomen," Modi tweeted.

Appreciating captain Mithali Raj, Modi said: "Captain Mithali Raj has been leading from the front. Her cool approach to the game shall surely help the entire team. @M_Raj03."
