Indian cricketers congratulate Zaheer Khan over appointment as bowling coach

New Delhi, July 12 (IBNS): Indian cricketers appreciated and congratulated former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan for being appointed as the bowling coach for the national side.

"Very happy for my brother @ImZaheer being appointed bowling coach for @BCCI ! All the best with this new role fella #bestchoice #bestbolwer," spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted.

Cricketer Suresh Raina said: "Congratulations @ImZaheer @RaviShastriOfc & #RahulDravid. Best wishes for a successful tenure with #TeamIndia @BCCI."

Cricketer Mohammad Kaif said selecting Zaheer as the bowling coach was a fantastic move by the board.

"Having @ImZaheer as bowling coach is a fantastic move.Wish Team India good luck under Ravi Shastri .Hopefully d focus will be on cricket now," Kaif said.

Putting to rest a near-month-old speculation regarding the coach selection for the Indian national men's cricket team, the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising of former greats Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman appointed former Indian skipper and team India director Ravi Shastri as the head coach, Zaheer Khan as the bowling coach and Rahul Dravid as the batting consultant during overseas tours.
