New Delhi, Mar 28 (IBNS): A day after Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli played a heroic knock of 82 runs to help his side reach the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 by beating Australia, the Test skipper hit out at social media trolls for targetting Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.

"Shame on people for trolling @AnushkaSharma non-stop. Have some compassion. She has always only given me positivity," Kohli tweeted.

Sharma faced  trolling after India failed against Australia in the semi-finals of the 50 overs World Cup match last year.

India beat Australia to reach the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 on Sunday.

India will face West Indies in the last-four stage of the tournament.
