Ahmedabad/UNI: Gujarat Titans on Wednesday named Sandeep Warrier as the replacement for the veteran Indian pacer Mohammad Shami.

Shami, who recently underwent surgery for his right heel problem, is currently in the recovery phase.

Warrier, who has previously played 5 IPL matches, will join Gujarat Titans for his base price of Rs 50 lakh.

On the other hand, Kwena Maphaka has been added to the Mumbai Indians squad as a replacement for Dilshan Madushanka, who was ruled out of the TATA IPL 2024 due to injury.

Maphaka, a left-arm pacer from South Africa, gained recognition for his performance in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup where he was named the Player of the Tournament. He will join Mumbai Indians for his base price of Rs 50 lakh.
