IPL 2023: RR win toss, elect to bowl first against KKR

Kolkata/IBNS: Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 56th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Eden Gardens here on Thursday.

Samson has introduced two changes to his side.

While Trent Boult replaces Kuldeep Yadav, KM Asif plays the match instead of Murugan Ashwin.

KKR captain Nitish Rana said Anukul Roy is set to replace Vaibhav Arora in his team for the match.

The match is vital for both RR and KKR to qualify for the playoffs.

RR and KKR are currently placed at fifth and sixth positions respectively in the points table.

The winner of the match will jump to the third spot disrupting the order of the IPL standings.

Rajasthan Royals XI: J Buttler, Y Jaiswal, S Samson (c & wk), J Root, S Hetmyer, D Jurel, Asif K M, R Ashwin, Y Chahal, T Boult, S Sharma.

Kolkata Knight Riders XI: J Roy, V Iyer, R Gurbaz (wk), S Narine, N Rana (c), R Singh, A Russell, S Thakur, A Roy, H Rana, V Chakaravarthy.
