Tolly Classic golf tourney to tee off tomorrow

Kolkata, May 8 (IBNS): The 8th leg of the IGU Eastern India Amateur Feeder Tour, the Tolly Classic, is set to start from tomorrow at the Tollygunge Club, Kolkata. 

Along with the Amateur, Mid – Amateur, Senior, Super – Senior and Ladies categories, the juniors have also been given an opportunity to participate. The juniors have the option to play only one day, keeping in mind the heat.

This year is the second season of the tour with a total of 12 tournaments distributed over the eastern side of the country. The top six players on the Order of Merit from the Amateur category directly get a chance to participate in the IGU Main Tour next year.

The two-day event has witnessed a turnout of over 60 participants including the juniors. Order of Merit leaders like Bimal Singh Sardar, Khokon Mollah, Samridh Sen, Pratham Choudhary and Souvik Nayak from the amateur category will be seen competing for the winner’s title.

The first tee off will start at 7:30am from the 1st Tee and 8am from the 10th Tee.

The next tournament under the tour will be at Shillong on the 1st and 2nd of June, 2019.
