Priyanka Chopra to produce Assamese film 'Bhoga Khirikee'

Guwahati, Feb 8 (IBNS): After producing Bhojpuri, Marathi, Punjabi, Sikkimese, Bengali films, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is all set to add another regional language film to her bag by producing an Assamese film.

The Desi Girl’s film production company Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP) will produce an Assamese movie “Bhoga Khirikee” (Broken Window) with a budget of around Rs 3 crore.

Priyanka Chopra is the brand ambassador of Assam Tourism.

Priyanka Chopra, Madhu Chopra and Shahnaab Alam will produce the new Assamese film.

The new Assamese film is being directed by national award winning director, filmmaker Jahnu Barua, who is returning behind the camera after couple of years.

The film is a multi-layered story from the perspective of a female protagonist, whose life is in turmoil due to the ideological conflicts with three men in her life.

In a video Priyanka Chopra said that, "I am really really exciting to be working with such an immensely talented group."

National award winning actress Seema Biswas will act in the film along with Zerifa Wahid, Sanjay Kharghoria, Kashvi Sharma and Mohammad Ali Shah.

The film is expected to complete by end this year.
