Alia Bhatt will act in Ayan Mukherji's next directorial venture Brahmastra

Mumbai, Oct 12 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt will be seen in Ayan Mukherji's next directorial film, Brahmastra.

Bhatt, sometime ago, tweeted to inform her followers about her upcoming project in Bollywood.

The actor also informed that Brahmastra will be a trilogy, whose first part is scheduled to release on August 15, 2019.

Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan and actor Ranbir Kapoor will also feature in the film.

Bhatt, who seems to be very excited to start shooting for the film, said in the tweet: "Can't wait for this one! #BRAHMÄ€STRA."

The Highway actress is presently shooting for Raazi, which is slated to release on May 11, 2018. Meghna Gulzar is directing the film.

Bhatt, who has started her Bollywood career as a lead actor with Student Of The Year in 2012, received appreciations for her skillful acting in several films like Highway, Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi.

Bhatt had also played a cameo as a child artist in Akshay Kumar-Preity Zinta starrer Sangharsh, released in 1999.

Her last film was Badrinath Ki Dulhania where she had acted opposite Varun Dhawan. The film has released in 2017.

Mukherji has so far directed two films, Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jaawani Hai Diwani. In both the films, Ranbir Kapoor was seen playing the lead roles.
