Los Angeles, Sept 18 (IBNS): A goof up with actress Priyanka Chopra's name at the Emmys platform by announcer has triggered a storm on Twitter.

Priyanka made a dazzling appearance at the awards.

She was seen wearing white custom-made Balmain feathered ensemble.

Giving moments for her fans to cheer, Priyanka went to the stage with Anthony Anderson to present the Award for Outstanding Variety Talk Series to John Oliver for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday night.

However, it was the announcer pronouncing her name as "Chopa" that upset her fans.

Priyanka is a well known personality in America with her performance in TV series Quantico. She also made her Hollywood debut in May this year with Baywatch.

Meanwhile, Twitter users attacked the announcer over the mispronunciation of the popular actress name.

One internet user Sajid posted: "Did this dude just call her "Priyanka Chopa"? wtf."

Another netizens who likes to be called by the name UrCrazyDidi‏ remarked: "Hey #Emmys is @priyankachopra's name REALLY that hard to pronounce? CHO-PRA !! Not "Choppa" My Nana would be so pissed right now."

One Dan Delaney‏ said: "Did the announcer just pronounce her last name as 'Chopa'? #Emmys."

Another netizen Entha remarked: "Did this mofo just say Priyanka ChoPA?."
