Mumbai, Nov 7 (IBNS): There is a special surprise for all Akshay Kumar fans from the makers of 'The Shaukeens', the film that released Friday. He has an extended role in the film.

From Anupam Kher to Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra to Lisa Haydon all have plum roles in the films and this includes actor Akshay Kumar too. Akshay Kumar who essays an alcoholic superstar in ‘The Shaukeens’, has a role of about 40 minutes in a 123 minute film which also includes his three songs- Ishq Kutta Hai, Meherbaani and Alcoholic.

Akshay’s 40 minute role in 'The Shaukeens’ is pivotal.

‘The Shaukeens’ is special for Akshay Kumar fans for one more reason; well for the first time they will get to see the real Akshay. The only difference between his real self and this reel character is the fact that Akshay Kumar does not drink in real life where as in ‘The Shaukeens’ he is a compulsive drunker.

‘The Shaukeens’ also has special appearances by a number of stars including actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Suniel Shetty and Dimple Kapadia.

The Shaukeens is a remake of 1982 comedy movie Shaukeen directed by Basu Chatterjee. It stars Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Lisa Haydon along with Akhsay Kumar. Produced by Cine1 Studios, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions, the film is being directed by Abhishek Sharma.
