Mumbai, Jan 18 (IBNS): Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Wazir continues its run at the Box Office by thrilling audiences in its 2nd week too.
The Farhan Akhtar-Amitabh Bachchan starer has done exceptional business in the thriller genre.

So much so that it has recovered its total production week in merely a week of its release.

The film has also gone ahead to break the January jinx by proving to be 2016's very first hit.

It has been a pattern since the past few years, that Bollywood releases in the month of January crumble at the Box Office.

Breaking this jinx, the thriller has not only garnered accolades from its audiences but from film critics too.

The film stands at a total worldwide collection of 54 crores in its 2nd week and the 2nd weekend collections alone are of 6.29 crores (domestic) and 3.44 crores (Overseas).

Wazir is an action drama which revolves around the concept of an unusual friendship shared between Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.

The film will also mark to be Farhan's first action film as the actor dons the character of an ATS Officer.

The film is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar.
