Kolkata, Oct 1 (IBNS): Indian radio and video jockey Nikhil Chinnapa or VJ Nikhil was forced to cancel musical event in Kolkata titled UNITED on Oct 4 as he is hospitalised due to dengue.

He has a massive fan following among EDM (Electronic Dance Music) enthusiasts on Twitter and is credited by and large to be a pioneer for EDM in India. His firm Submerge promotes upcoming DJs and events at clubs in the metro cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

His name is now synonymous for contemporary dance and music events across India. He started Submerge to promote the image of a DJ as an artist rather than adhering to the popular demand of the audience at clubs.

Speaking on the occasion,   Aparajita Chowdhury and Zawed Ali organiser & owner of A2Z Events said that, “As we have promised Kolkata of a big event, we have replaced Nikhil with 3 more artist ZAEDEN (Indian star who played at tomorrowland), Daulistic Inquiry, Progressive Brothers along with Lost stories..”

UNITED is Kolkata's very own music festival. The event will also include 10 other popular DJ's of this city to make it a memorable night of awesome dance music. This is one of the biggest events Kolkata would be witnessing.
