Amitabh Bachchan feels bad for 'pretty young lady' Kavya Maran after SRH's IPL final defeat

Mumbai/IBNS: Sunrisers Hyderabad co-owner Kavya Maran moved to tears after her franchise was handed over a crushing defeat by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final on Sunday.

As camera panned towards her, Kavya, who cheers SRH in all IPL matches sitting in the stands, was spotted in teary eyes as she was applauding KKR's thumping win in the final.

After getting conscious of the camera, Kavya turned back and was seen wiping out her tears.

But her tears didn't go unnoticed by acting legend Amitabh Bachchan like several netizens.

In his personal blog, Bachchan wrote, "The IPL Final is over and KKR have WON a most convincing victory .. SRH were simply outplayed .. disappointing in many ways becuse SRH is a good team and one has seen their very grand performances over the days when they played other matches ..

"But what was most touching to observe was the pretty young lady , .. the owner of SRH, in the Stadium, get emotional after the loss and break into tears, turning her face away from the cameras, so as not to display her emotion .. I felt bad for her !!"

"Never mind .. tomorrow is another day .. my dear !!"

KKR lift IPL trophy for third time

In an allround performance, KKR outplayed SRH by 8 wickets on Sunday to lift the IPL trophy for the third time.

Right from the beginning, KKR dominated the game picking SRH wickets at regular intervals giving no chance to the opponent to even smell a comeback.

The pacers- led by Mitchell Starc, Andre Russell and Harshit Rana- did most of the damage to SRH batting picking 7 wickets in total leaving the rest for the spinners.

Rattled by KKR's bowling, SRH could just add 113, a below par score, on board.

Venkatesh Iyer's unbeaten 52 from 26 balls and Rahmanullah Gurbaz's 39 from 32 made it look for KKR a cakewalk to hunt down the nominal target.
