Aamir Khan on Sitaare Zameen Par: Trying to release it on Christmas 2024

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has given an update about his next release, titled as Sitaare Zameen Par.

The actor, who was interacting with TV9 for a programme, said he has started shooting for the film, which is expected to get its release by the end of this year, precisely on Christmas.

Aamir said, "My next film as a lead actor is Sitaare Zameen Par. The shooting has just started. We are trying to release it at the end of this year on the occasion of Christmas. It's a very entertaining film."

Apart from Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir will also be seen in different films but not as a lead actor.

"Apart from Sitaare Zameen Par, I will be seen not as a lead actor but doing a few things," he said.

Sitaare Zameen Par, which is directed by R.S. Prasanna, is expected to deal with a theme similar to that of Aamir's 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, where he played the role of a teacher who changed the life of a gifted boy suffering from Dyslexia.

Meanwhile, Aamir, who is known for his perfection in playing any role on screen, took a hiatus after the dismal box office run of his last film Laal Singh Chaddha.

Even before Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir's Thugs of Hindostan too crashed at the box office amid negative reviews.

The senior actor is producing Laapataa Ladies, which is directed by his former wife Kiran Rao and scheduled for March 1 release.
