Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan opted for an OTT exploration with 'Jaane Jaan', a film directed by Sujoy Ghosh, who is credited for his thrilling plots in 'Kahaani', 'Kahaani 2', 'Badla'.

The film's trailer, which was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday, portrays Kareena as a murder-suspect in Kalimpong, a district in West Bengal's northern part.

Kareena, who is Maya D'Souza in the film, is stalked by Naren, played by Jaideep Ahlawat, who senses something wrong in Maya's place.

In the meantime, Vijay Varma, who plays a cop, comes to Kalimpong in search of Maya's husband and eventually falls in love with her. Vijay and Jaideep were shown as old friends.

The film is slated to release on Netflix on September 21.
