Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Saturday at her residence in Kalighat, in the southern part of the city.

"It was a pleasure to meet renowned personality and celebrated film actor Salman Khan ji at my residence today and indulge in a hearty conversation with him," Mamata Banerjee said after the meeting.

"Our discussion included meaningful insights on varied topics, from the world of cinema to art to society and people's development," she added.

Expressing her regards to the actor for visiting her amid his busy schedule, the chief minister said, “May he continue to climb the steps of success in good health," and conveyed her best wishes to him for his future.

Apart from the party leadership, many Salman fans were also seen in front of her house. They all gathered to see their favourite star.
