'Heartbreaking,' says B-Town on demise of actor-director Satish Kaushik

New Delhi/UNI: Bollywood celebrities on Thursday expressed grief over the demise of veteran actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik saying the industry has lost one of its finest actors.

Kaushik's actor friend Anupam Kher tweeted, "I know death is the ultimate truth of this world! But I never dreamed I will write this thing about you my dear friend #SatishKaushik, Such a sudden end to 45 years of friendship!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!"

Taking to social media, Suniel Shetty wrote, “Today, we've lost one of the finest of the film industry. His memory will be a blessing to all those who knew and loved him. Heartfelt condolences to the family. #RestInPeace #SatishKaushik."

Sunny Deol wrote, “Heart breaking news of #SatishKaushik ji passing away. Can’t believe it. He was such a happy person. May God grant strength to the family and our industry to overcome this loss. Om Shanti!”

Kangana Ranaut said, “Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti”.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “A wonderful Actor with perfect comic timing, an amazing Director, A regarded alumni from National School Of Drama. Left us too soon #SatishKaushik Ji Lots of Love and Power to the Family Rest In Peace."

Alia Bhatt said, “Thank you for decades of laughter; love and pure entertainment. RIP Sir.. you will be missed Love and strength to the family!”

Randeep Hooda said, “You have been a part of our life since our childhood. Thanks for all the entertainment Satish ji .. om shanti."

The veteran actor passed away on Thursday morning due to a heart attack.

Born on April 13, 1956 in Mahendragarh, Haryana, he graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University in 1972. He was an alumnus of National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India.

On the work front, he was last seen in ZEE5’s movie ‘Chhatriwali’.
