'I rest and improve...': Amitabh Bachchan gives health update post Project K shoot injury

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan's countless fans went anxious on Monday after the 80-year-old said he suffered an injury during the shoot for his upcoming film Project K.

Bachchan on Tuesday gave his health update tweeting, "I rest and improve with your prayers. Your prayers are the cure."

Bachchan was injured during an action shot. He consulted a doctor and underwent a CT scan.

The shooting has been suspended for now.

The actor wrote in his blog, "In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. canceled shoot .. did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain .."

"So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs ..," he added. (sic)

Project K, a fantasy drama, features actors Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead.

The film is expected to be released next year.
