Mumbai: Director Mukesh Chhabra said his journey while shooting with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 'Dil Bechara' was extremely special.

The movie will be the last acted film of the actor who was found dead in his Mumbai residence in June.

Chhabra told Pinkvilla website: "There are so many memories of Sushant that if you ask me about him, I can write a book on him."

"We spent so much time since Kai Po Che.

"We did Kedarnath together and even our journey on Dil Bechara for the last two years have been extremely special," he said.

Speaking on Sushant's USP, he said: "I think his charm worked wonders. If you're a good actor and you're also charming, then you're set for life. Also, when you're a good actor, you suddenly start looking better with time. His charm, his dedication, honesty and smile worked."

The trailer of Dil Bechara was released recently.

The film, which may turn Sushant's fans emotional once again, will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24.

Based on John Green's novel 'The Fault In Our Stars', 'Dil Bechara' revolves around two cancer patients played by Sushant and his co-star Sanjana Sanghi.

Sushant, who was best known for portraying former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni onscreen, committed suicide on Jun 14.

He hanged himself at his flat in Mumbai's Bandra.

The autopsy report has also claimed the actor had committed suicide.

Sushant, who made his Bollywood debut with 'Kai Po Che', was last seen in 2019 Hindi film 'Chhichhore' on big screens.
