Ayushmann Khurrana-Big B's 'Gulabo Sitabo' premieres online amid positive reviews

Mumbai/IBNS: Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana paired up for the first time for director Shoojit Sircar's 'Gulabo Sitabo' and it also premiered on Friday on Amazon Prime Video instead of a movie theatre due to COVID-19 outbreak.

It is the first major B-town movie that premiered on a streaming platform.

The movie halls are currently shut down across the country due to the pandemic.

The movie has earned positive reviews so far.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#ShoojitSircar gets it right yet again... Effective writing - garnished with wicked humour - is its USP... Unforeseeable finale a big plus... #BigB, #Ayushmann in super form... Worth watching! #GulaboSitaboReviewr."

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala posted: "A decent dramedy.. Funny in parts.. @SrBachchan is the soul of the film.. As usual, he excels."

The movie is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. 

The movie also features actor Vijay Raaz.
