Mumbai, May 18 (IBNS): Director and producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Saturday released the trailer of upcoming movie Malaal.

The movie will mark the debut of Sharmin Segal and Meezaan Jafri.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Bhansali Productions said, 'Embark on a journey of love, life and the unsaid moments in between with our new faces of love - @sharminsegal @MeezaanJ #MalaalTrailer: http:it.ly/MalaalTrailer #SLB @TSeries @itsBhushanKumar'.

Meezaan Jafri said, 'Riding on a beautiful path of extraordinary love, see you at our first destination, #MalaalTrailer, out at 1:30pm @sharminsegal @bhansali_produc #SLB @TSeries'.

Jaaved Jaaferi, father of Meezaan posted: "Prayers and love galore to #Meezaan and #SharminSegal on the superb trailer of #Malaal Huge stars in the making."

Salman Khan shared a childhood picture of Sharmin on Twitter and captioned it, "Just like that, it's time now to see this beautiful little Sharmin bloom on the silver screen in her debut film, Malaal. May this new journey bring you all luck and love @sharminsegal #MalaalTrailer @bhansali_produc @TSeries."

Directed by Mangesh Hadawale, the movie is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain and Krishan Kumar.

The trailer shows their intense love story that begins with a love-hate relationship but goes through a tragic struggle.

Set in the heart of Maharashtra, the film’s trailer shows Meezaan and Sharmin as residents of a crowded slum in Mumbai.

The curly-haired, salwar-kameez clad Sharmin seems to be an outsider and faces a lot of opposition from the slum’s popular lad, played by Meezaan.

The flick is set to release on June 28.
