Student of the Year 2 collects Rs. 44.35 cr at box office

Mumbai, May 14 (IBNS): Tiger Shroff-starrer Student of the Year 2 has collected Rs. 44.35 crore so far at the Indian box office.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#StudentOfTheYear2 declines 54.23% on Mon [vis-à-vis Fri]... Slows at plexes of Mumbai, Delhi, NCR [where it was performing best]... Fri 12.06 cr, Sat 14.02 cr, Sun 12.75 cr, Mon 5.52 cr. Total: ₹ 44.35 cr. India biz. #SOTY2"

In the film, actresses Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria made their Bollywood debut.

The film has been directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar.

Actress Alia Bhatt, who featured in Student of the Year, is seen making a special appearance in Hook Up Song alongside Shroff in the latest film of the franchise.

Shroff, son of veteran actor Jackie Shroff, made his Hindi film debut with action comedy Heropanti in 2014. Later he went on to act in films like Baaghi, Baaghi 2 along with some music videos.
