Nitin Gadkari participates in anti-corruption rally in Kolkata

Kolkata, Dec 23 (IBNS): Union Transport Minister and BJP senior leader Nitin Gadkari was in Kolkata on Tuesday when he met state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat Nabanno in Howrah to discus expansion of various national highway projects while also taking part in an anti-corruption march in the city that began from College Square and ended at Esplanade point. The BJP state unit is organizing anti-corruption week from Dec 23 to 30. BJP state president Rahul Sinha and BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh took part in the rally while grand-daughter of poet Kaji Nazrul Islam, Sonali Kaji, also joined the BJP during the day. Nitin Gadkari gave her the flag of BJP.

Berger Paints pledges to clean Kolkata with 'Easy Clean India Campaign'

Inspired by the Swach bharat Abhiyan, Berger Paints launched the "Easy Clean India Campaign" in Kolkata on Monday (Dec 15, 2014).The company started their journey by cleaning an NGO, Jaihind Abaitanik Vidyalaya and its surroundings at Prince Anwar Shah Road here. Furthermore, they painted a classroom and donated a few additional cans of paint to the NGO to get the rest of the school painted.
