"Canada has the potential to be a key partner in every area of India's national development priority," Modi said while addressing the media jointly with his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper.
"Prime Minister Harper and I are committed to establish a new framework for economic partnership," he said.
Speaking on uranium procurement agreement, he said: "The agreement on procurement of uranium from Canada for our civilian nuclear power plants launches a new era of bilateral cooperation."
"We in India felt Canada's pain when this city was struck by a senseless act of terrorism," Modi said on the shoot-out in the Canadian Parliament.
Modi flew to Canada after wrapping up his two-day Germany visit where he attempted to to attract investments for 'Make-in-India' programme.
