Geneva: Haji Syed Salman Chishty named Ambassador for the International Day of Living Together in Peace

Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman of the Chishty Foundation, has been named the  Ambassador for the International Day of Living Together in Peace in its seventh edition.

It is observed every year by the member states of the United Nations on May 16.

Chisty said he felt honoured to be named the ambassador.

" Honored to be named as Ambassador for The International Day of Living Together in Peace in its seventh edition on 16th May which is observed every year across member states of United Nations Geneva, Switzerland. The UN General-Assembly, in its resolution 72/130, declared 16th May the International Day of Living Together in Peace," he posted on Instagram.

" Grateful for this recognition and committed to promoting peace and unity worldwide. As part of spiritual and inner-net global outreach initiatives from Ajmer Sharif to the world, we are also honoured to receive the sacred robe of respect as per the practices of Alawi Sufi Order from the spiritual master and leader Chiekh Khaled BenTounes, a remarkable Sufi teacher who guides millions of seeking hearts with unconditional love and service towards Human Fraternity," he said.
