Bhawana Kesar, hailing from Nowshera in Rajouri district, who is the daughter of a tailor, has written her name in the history of the UT by becoming the first woman from her hometown to clear the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Judicial) examination.

Bhawana told Kashmir Life that despite facing financial constraints, her parents stood by her side, ensuring she received the education she deserved.

Bhawana studied BA LLB from Punjab University after completing her schooling.

Living near the Line of Control (LoC) did not deter Bhawana from pursuing her dreams, reported Kashmir Life.

She now aims to inspire more individuals from her region to contribute to the judicial system.
