Chandigarh/IBNS: Sidhu Moose Wala's parents have been blessed with a son, nearly two years after the Punjabi singer was shot dead triggering a nationwide shock.

Announcing the news on Instagram, his father Balkaur Singh, who is 60, said the family is healthy. He also shared a photo of himself with his newborn and a portrait of the singer.

"With the blessings of millions of souls who love Shubdeep, the Almighty has put Shubh's younger brother in our group. With the blessings of Wahe Guru, the family is healthy and thankful to all the well-wishers for their immense love," the caption read.

The singer's mother, Charan Kaur, had conceived through the In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technique, her brother-in-law Chamkaur Singh had said earlier this year after the pregnancy new broke.

Moose Wala was ambushed and shot down at Jawarharke village in Mansa on May 29, 2022.

The 28-year-old rapper was driving a Mahindra Thar when his assailants showered bullets at his SUV, inflicting multiple bullet injuries.

Moose Wala had unsuccessfully contested the 2022 Punjab elections on Congress' ticket.

Thirty-one people including gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar were arrested in connection with the murder.

In a Facebook post, Brar claimed responsibility for Moosewala’s murder "in retaliation" for the murder of a Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera.
