New Delhi: The Lok Sabha on Thursday suspended three more Opposition MPs Deepak Baij, Nakul Nath, and DK Suresh, all from Congress.

The new suspensions took the overall count of suspended MPs in Parliament to 146.

Over 140 Opposition MPs were suspended for disrupting the proceedings of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

They had been raising slogans and causing disturbances, demanding a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the security breach at Parliament on December 13.

Opposition MPs, who were suspended from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha over the week, took out a protest march in the national capital Delhi on Thursday morning.

The march was carried out from the old Parliament building to Vijay Chowk in central Delhi.

The parliamentarians including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury were seen holding placards with "Save Democracy" written on them.

Kharge posted on X, "Passing important legislations by suspending Opposition MPs is not Democracy.

"It is the worst kind of authoritarianism. Our future generations will not forgive us, if we do not raise our voices against this dictatorship, NOW !"
