Kolkata, Mar 28 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said the "Sabar Souchagar" project under "Mission Nirmal Bangla" in the state's Nadia district has been shortlisted by the United Nations Public Services Awards Committee for the UN Public Services Award.

"Nadia district in West Bengal has won international acclaim in “Sabar Souchagar” project under “Mission Nirmal Bangla”.
The United Nations Public Services Awards Committee has shortlisted the project for the prestigious international UN Public Services Award, 2015," Banerjee wrote in her Facebook page.

"Moreover, Loughborough University, United Kingdom has selected the project as “An Inspiring District Level Model for eliminating open defecation in India” to be presented at the 38 th WEDC International Conference in London, in July, 2015. My best wishes to Team Nadia for this outstanding achievement," she said.
