West Bengal: Mamata Banerjee on a three-day trip to Jhargram

India Blooms News Service | @indiablooms | 08 Aug 2023, 12:06 pm

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is on a three-day trip from Tuesday to West Bengal's Jhargram where she will launch various projects in Adivasi areas, media reports said.

Mamata will flag off the World Tribal Day on Wednesday.

The state government, as reports claim, has planned to celebrate the World Tribal Day in a grand manner.

Events will be organised in every block of 15 Adivasi-dominated districts as a part of the celebration.

Jhargram, where the Bharatiya Janata Party aims to consolidate its votes, is now targeted by Mamata and her Trinamool Congress to garner support.

Mamata is set to inaugurate a number of projects in the Adivasi-dominated areas in the run up to the 2024 General Elections, where the Opposition is aiming to trounce BJP with 'INDIA' alliance.
