Time for dynastic politics and corruption to quit India: PM Modi's barb at Opposition at mega railway event

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today unleashed a barbed attack on the Opposition at Railways' mega redevelopment event, saying that it is time for "corruption, dynasty, and appeasement to quit India."

"Inspired by Quit India Movement, the entire country is now saying corruption, dynasty, appeasement should quit India," PM Modi said as he addressed the event virtually.

After laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 508 railway stations across the country, the Prime Minister said the Opposition played "negative politics".

He accused that a section of the Opposition is working with the motive to stall development works of the government and are moving with the principle that "neither will they work nor let others work."

The Prime Minister maintained that despite negative politics, his government is working towards developmental goals.

"Rising above negative politics, we are moving on path of positive politics in mission mode, giving priority to development," he said.

He said India is at the global centre stage. "India, which is heading towards the goal of being developed, is at the beginning of Amrit Kaal. There is new energy, new inspiration and new resolutions and in this spirit, a new chapter is beginning in the history of Indian Railways," PM Modi said.

These stations will be called ‘Amrit Bharat Stations’ and the foundation stone for the modernisation of 508 of these stations was laid today at the cost of nearly Rs 25,000 crores.

The redevelopment project will be a huge campaign for infrastructure development in the country along with the railways as well as the common citizens, Modi stressed.
