Police sources said that Dinesh (35), a resident of Ratanpur village, was a grain businessman and was distressed financially due to loans on him.

"In the wee hours on Sunday Dinesh attacked his wife Meena, son Osiyan (5) and daughter Anshi (12) with a sharp-edged weapon injuring them seriously," they said.

Police sources said that after hearing the cries of Dinesh's family neighbours and other family members reached the spot.
