Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma unveils urban development projects in Tezpur

Guwahati/IBNS: Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, unveiled a series of urban development projects in Tezpur on Friday.

The refurbished Litchu Pukhuri was inaugurated, expected to enhance tourism in the city.

Additionally, the historic Chowk Bazar redevelopment, amounting to ₹30.46 crore, was dedicated, with 294 temporary shops being built at Dhobi Ghat to mitigate livelihood losses, reported Guwhati Plus.

The Integrated Sports Complex, including waterfront development and a bird conservatory tower, received ₹24 crore for its development.

Furthermore, a sum of ₹14.85 crore was allocated for the beautification of Bor Pukhuri, while ₹27 crore was dedicated to constructing a 1000-seater townhall in Tezpur.
