New Delhi/IBNS: The Delhi Police on Thursday filed a 1,000-page chargesheet against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in connection with the sexual harassment charges levelled against him by seven wrestlers, media reports said.

The chargesheet has mentioned the offences like sexual harassment, outraging modesty and stalking.

The police have also filed a 500-page cancellation report in the minor's case against Singh, NDTV reported.

The police said in a statement as quoted by NDTV, "In the POCSO matter, after completion of the investigation, we have submitted a police report under section 173 Cr PC requesting for a cancellation of the case based upon statements of the complainant i.e., the father of the victim and the victim herself."

"In the FIR registered by the wrestlers, after completion of the investigation, we are filing a chargesheet for the offences under sections 354, 354A , 354D IPC against accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and for offences under sections109/ 354/354A/506 IPC against accused Vinod Tomar before the concerned Hon'ble Court," the statement further read.

Singh earlier claimed that he will come out clean from the charges of sexual harassment levelled against him by the wrestlers.

Singh had said he has full faith in the judiciary and also expressed faith in the investigating agencies. He claimed that he and his supporters will get justice.

On April 29, two separate police cases were filed against Singh, after allegations of sexual harassment by seven wrestlers, one of them a minor.

The cases were filed after the Supreme Court issued a notice to the Delhi Police. One of them is under POCSO, the stringent law against sexual assault of children.

Meanwhile, India's top wrestlers, including Sakshee Malikkh, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia, who have been at the forefront of the massive protest against Singh, have resumed their duties in the Railways.
