This time a BJP majority govt in Karnataka: PM Modi sounds bugle at rally

India Blooms News Service | @indiablooms | 29 Apr 2023, 05:06 pm

Vijayapur, Apr 29 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday sounded the bugle of "this time, BJP majority government" to buck the trend of giving split verdict in Karnataka elections.

"I know that the people of Karnataka are not going to elect the tired and defeated Congress, they are definitely going to elect the BJP team full of enthusiasm.

"Therefore, the same voice is coming from every corner of Karnataka- young or women. Be it Dalit or Adivasi, same slogan, same echo - E baari nirdhara, bahumatada BJP sarkara (This time, BJP majority government)," PM Modi roared, addressing a public rally here.

Modi said the Congress has neither a road map nor enthusiasm for bringing development in Karnataka.

Taking a dig at Siddaramaiah and HD Kumaraswamy's remarks that it is their last election, PM Modi said, "They are so devoid of energies and enthusiasm that they are asking for the votes in the name of retirement."

He said the double-engine BJP government government has provided pucca houses to over 9 lakh families of Karnataka, and most of these families belong to Dalits and tribal communities. "Our government believes in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas," he added.

Modi said it is the BJP government that has given priority to Dalits, oppressed, underprivileged, tribals, women and disabled people.

"In the BJP government, today the deprived sections of the society have got social and economic security. I also got the good fortune of giving new life to lakhs of my Banjara friends of Karnataka," he said.

Congress never cared for Dalits, and has always disrespected and disregarded them, PM Modi said. "Garibi Hatao was merely a slogan of Congress. The actual benefits of its schemes and programmes were accrued to the mediators, its corrupt leaders and not to the poor," he alleged.

The Congress did not take any step to end this loot and did not care about the suffering of the poor, PM Modi said. "If compared with today's situation, it will be known how much money these people used to loot from the poor," he said.

Indirectly attacking late Congress leader Rajiv Gandhi, Modi said the PM of Congress used to say that if he sent one rupee, only 15 paise reached people, but in BJP's rule the entire amount gets deposited in the beneficiary's account.

Modi said the BJP keeps transparency and poor's welfare at the forefront of its work.

He also said that the Congress never understood the problems of the farmers, whereas BJP took care of every facility and inconvenience of the farmer from seed to market.

Modi said Karnataka is home to five rivers and still lacked enough irrigation infrastructure and facilities.

It is only the double-engine government of BJP that has ensured proper irrigation infrastructure, he said.

"We ensured development, financial infusion in irrigation projects and modernisation of these thereby justifying the accountability of the government towards the farmers, for the welfare of farmers," he said.

The mothers, sisters and daughters of Karnataka have suffered the most due to the negligence and neglect of the Congress government.

Modi said Congress also has never worried about women's safety, health and their employment. "The mothers, sisters and daughters of Karnataka have suffered the most due to the negligence and neglect of the Congress government. Congress never worried about women's safety, health and their employment," he said.

"Because of the policies of the BJP government, our mothers and sisters have got a new power. When we opened crores of Jan Dhan accounts, their lives started changing. This has given him new confidence," Modi said.

Modi said the double-engine government of the BJP is a government which strengthens the ambitions of the people, fulfills the dreams and aspirations of the people and is dedicated to everyone especially the youth.

He said BJP's double-engine government is vocal for the local and that is why it keeps on encouraging the weavers and handicrafts men.

"BJP's double-engine government is a government that gives strength to aspirations, a government that makes dreams come true. Double-engine government is a government of youth," he said.
