New Delhi: A Delhi Special court on Monday, after the plea from CBI , ordered judicial custody for Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) leader Manish Sisodia till Mar 20.

Sisodia was arrested on the allegations of corruption in Delhi Liquor policy case and was sent to a seven day CBI custody that ended today.

After the expiry of the CBI custody today, the Bureau produced Sisodia in a Special CBI Court in Saket at New Delhi.

Sisodia had moved a bail application earlier in this case which will be heard by Special Judge on Mar 10.

The court sought the response of CBI on the bail application of Sisodia.

CBI Special Judge MK Nagpal after hearing the plea on behalf of the Bureau said that no further CBI custody is required and sent to Sisodia to judicial custody till March 20.

Sisodia had earlier moved the Supreme Court against the order of CBI Special Judge but Apex Court on February 28 refused to entertain the petition by pointing out that he had sufficient legal remedies before approaching the highest court so can make all points before the High Court, so after that he moved before the trial Court.

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 after about eight hours of questioning on various aspects of the excise policy for 2021-22.

According to Investigating Agency the excise policy was suffered from irregularities both in its formulation and implementation.
