Bulandshahr: A farmer was beaten to death by his two sons and their brother-in-law allegedly for property in Agauta area of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Friday.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said farmer Satish (50), a resident of Akbarpur Raina village, had three sons.

"On Thursday night while Satish was getting sugarcane loaded on a tractor-trolley at his farm, his two sons Porus and Rahul along with his brother-in-law Lalit reached there and had a dispute with their father over expected payment of the cane," he said.

He said it has been alleged that during the scuffle, the sons, along with the brother-in-law, beat their father with sticks, due to which Satish sustained serious injuries.

"Satish died while being taken to the hospital by his third son Rishipal, who later informed the police about the incident," he said.

The SSP said on the complaint of Rishipal a case had been lodged against Porus, Rahul and his brother-in-law Lalit and the trio had been arrested.
