New Delhi: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani visited Somnath Temple in Gujarat with his son and chairman of Reliance Jio Akash Ambani and offered prayers on the occasion of Maha Shivratri on Saturday.

According to the news agency ANI, the Ambanis donated Rs 1.51 crore to the Somnath temple trust.

In several photos published online, the father and son were seen worshipping Lord Shiva and praying with folded hands.

The priest at the temple was seen applying sandalwood paste on their foreheads and presenting a stole to the Ambanis.

In September 2022, Mukesh Ambani had visited Lord Venkateswara temple in Andhra Pradesh's Tirumala and made an offering of Rs 1.5 crore.

His son Anant's fiancée Radhika Merchant and Reliance Retail Ltd Director Manoj Modi accompanied him.
