Bomb threat at Google office in Pune

Pune: Maharashtra police have arrested a person on Monday from Hyderabad who allegedly made a call to Google office in Pune and threatened to blow up Google's office.

The bomb detector and disposal team inspected the entire office and the area, but found nothing.

The police have been closely monitoring and tracking the caller since then.

Finally, The Mumbai Police team has detained the caller from Hyderabad.

It has been found that the call was made by the brother of an employee who is working in Google office in Pune.

According to police the google's office is located on the 11th floor of a multi-storied commercial building in Pune's Mundhwa area. On Sunday night, the Google office in Mumbai got a call.

It was said that the caller had planted a bomb at Google's office in Pune. After that, Google immediately reported the incident to the Mumbai Police.

The Mumbai Police also reported this matter to the Pune Police simultaneously.

Swing into action, the Mundhwa police with bomb detection squad and destruction team reached the office of Google and inspected the entire office, building, premises. However, nothing was found.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police traced the caller and found that he was from Hyderabad.

The person who made the call was detained with the help of Hyderabad police, confirmed Ramnath Pokale, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) of Pune police.

It has been revealed that the person who made the call is the brother of an employee working in the Google office in Pune and he had made calls when he was in a drunken state.
