Mumbai/IBNS: Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani and her husband Anand Piramal have become parents to twin babies, a boy and a girl, their family said on Sunday, media reported.

"We are delighted to share that our children Isha and Anand have been blessed by the Almighty with twins on 19th November 2022. Isha and the babies, baby girl Aadiya and baby boy Krishna are doing well," a statement said.

"We seek your blessings and good wishes for Aadiya, Krishna, Isha and Anand in this most important phase of their life," it said.

Isha, daughter of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, and Anand, son of Ajay Piramal and Swati Piramal, had married in a grand ceremony in 2018 in Mumbai.

Their wedding was attended by various A-listers of Bollywood, top celebrities, politicians and industrialists.

In August this year, Isha Ambani was made the head of Reliance Retail. Her twin brother, Akash Ambani, heads RIL’s telecom business Reliance Jio.

Mukesh Ambani has also announced that his youngest son Anant Ambani has joined RIL’s energy business and is spending most of his time in Jamnagar.

The three businesses of Reliance are almost equal in size.
