'Jesus is real God': Pastor tells Rahul Gandhi in 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', Congress draws BJP ire

New Delhi/IBNS: India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s slammed the opposition Congress after its top leader and MP Rahul Gandhi's conversation with a controversial pastor in Tamil Nadu's Puliyoorkurichy  on Jesus Christ in the middle of the party's ambitious 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' went viral on social media.

In the video, Rahul asks, "Jesus is a form of God. Is that right?"

In reply, pastor George Ponnaiah said, "He is the real God. God reveals him as a man, not like Shakti... so we see a human person."

Tweeting an old video of Ponnaiah, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya said, "Does Rahul Gandhi endorse this form of expansionist demographic aggression?

"Is this the kind of people he is trying to unite as part of Bharat Jodo Yatra? What is the end objective of Rahul Gandhi’s Yatra? Build a coalition of Breaking India forces? He must explain…"

Countering the BJP, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted, "An atrocious tweet from the BJP hate factory is doing the rounds. It bears no relation whatsoever to what is recorded in the audio.

"This is typical BJP mischief that has become more desperate after the successful launch of #BharatJodoYatra which is evoking such a huge response."

Ponnaiah, who recurrently courted controversy, came to light after a speech targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Thirty complaints were filed against him in Tamil Nadu for his provocative speech against Modi.
