Rs. 1 crore bid for PM Modi's name-striped suit
Surat, Feb 18 (IBNS): A businessman placed a bid of Rs. 1 crore for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's much-talked about suit that is now up for auction in Gujarat's Surat on Wednesday, media reports said.
The suit was worn by the PM just once and it went on sale.
The first bid for Rs. 51 lakh was put in by a Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) leader Rajubhai Agarwal. Later, Suresh Agrawal, a textile businessman, just doubled the offer.
According to sources, interested buyers can bid till 5 pm on Friday.
The famous navy and gold suit is now put on display at the Science Centre in the city.
