The aim of the lecture was to raise awareness about cancer among children and their guardians and to express support for adolescents children who are either suffering from cancer or have survived the ailment.

The lecture emphasized on how to prevent cancer in children by avoiding alcohol and tabacco use during pregnancy, keeping children away from secondhand smoke, reducing exposure to traffic-related air pollution.

The effort of Assam Rifles was well appreciated by village authorities and people for creating awareness about the International Childhood Cancer Day. A total of 36 locals attended the event.
