Arvind Kejriwal appeals to Goans to vote for AAP

Panaji/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday appealed to the electorates of Goa to give one chance to the Aam Aam Party (AAP) to serve the state and the people.

Kejriwal said, "I want to appeal to the people of Goa. This election can change the future of the state. You have given 27 years to Congress, 15 years to BJP.

"But they did not do anything. If they are given another five years, things will not change. AAP has done a lot of work in Delhi. I appeal to the people of Goa to vote for AAP once.''

He said that Goa had a debt of Rs 24,000 crore and if Congress or Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were voted to power again, the debt could increase to Rs 50,000.

He said if people wished to defeat the BJP, then they should vote for the AAP.

''If you wish to defeat the BJP, vote for AAP. Because if you vote for Congress it would ultimately go to the BJP,'' he said.

Criticising the BJP, he said a helipad was prepared for Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Mapusa within no time but development of the bus stand has been waiting for years.

''I would like to assure the people of Goa that for us people of Goa are our VIPs. Roads, bus stands or Ravindra Bhavan, all will be constructed with the same speed as the helipad for the Prime Minister was constructed,'' he said.
