New Delhi: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished Israel PM Naftali Bennett on Rosh Hashanah.

Modi tweeted: "Warmest wishes to Prime Minister @naftalibennett , the friendly people of Israel, and the Jewish people around the world celebrating Rosh Hashanah today."

Rosh Hashanah is theJewish New Year.

It is the first of the Jewish High Holy Days.
