Parliament: Opposition leaders show unity on last day of monsoon session

New Delhi/UNI: Leaders of Opposition parties met on Wednesday morning amid talks of Parliament being adjourned sine die.

The meeting was held in the office of Leader of Opposition Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi was also present.

Congress, DMK, TMC, SP, Shiv Sena, NC, CPI(M), RJD, CPI, IUML, RSP, VCK, KC(M) and LJD attended the meet.

The Opposition put up a united front against the government over Pegasus snooping controversy, farm laws, price rise, and other issues.

Both Houses witnessed repeated adjournments and several bills were passed in din.

Opposition leaders held several strategy meets through the session, and held demonstrations as well.

The monsoon session of Parliament, which started on July 19 was scheduled to end on August 13, but was cut short amid continuing protests.
